I Have a Dream

Friends, this YouTube video is not a song but its soaring tones, cadences and deeply inspiring message is one of the greatest “songs” that still moves me to tears: I Have A Dream by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., as given in 1963 at the Civil Rights March in Washington, DC.

Although much progress has been made, there is still work to be done with race relations in the USA, with knowing and acting like everyone is created equal in the eyes of God. We in this country still do not rightly treat our Amerindian brothers and sisters; or our black, Afro-American citizens.

It is likewise true around the world, with some down-and-out group being treated like they are nobodies; with those in power lording it over them, even blaming the oppressed for their problems, when in reality the self-righteous ones in power are at fault due to their arrogance. Cain consciousness still rules this planet. May it end soon. May we all be free at last, free at last, thank God Almighty, let us be free at last!

May freedom ring. May everyone be judged by the content of their character, not the color of their skin; nor by their race, religion, gender, ethnicity or country of origin. Let us all love one another as Christ Jesus has loved us, and still loves us. We are all one big family. Amen!
