I love this Home Free cover of the song, Maria, which was first performed back in 1973 by BW Stevenson.
First, it is a wonderful version, filled with gorgeous, joy-filled harmonies of this group, plus the addition of other singers and musicians. Second, to me, it is about my favorite of all ladies: Mary, Mother of Jesus. She’s my Maria, which is Spanish for Mary, which in the ancient Egyptian language meant “love.”
Third, Maria signifies Third Ray love at its finest, lovingly devoting ourselves to a Higher Cause. And what could be higher than loving and devoting ourselves to Sol-O-Man/Mary/Yasodhara and Sananda/Jesus Buddha, and their Second Coming?
As presented, this song is a personal, romantic love story, but to me it is also a cosmic love song, that I sing to my beloved Mary, my cosmic Mama. Perhaps it will work that way for you. Welcome her anew into your heart. Then you will be filled with joy and love!
