Pentatonic Scale

Here’s our YouTube song for today: master musician and user of sound, Bobby McFerrin, showing the audience and us how the Pentatonic Scale works.

Pentatonic means a 5-note scale, not a 7-note or heptatonic scale that we are most familiar with. The pentatonic scale has been used around the world, going back to ancient history. It seems to be an integral set of sounds that are pleasing to the human ear. To read more about it, please click here.

Pythagoras, who was a incarnation of Serapis Bey, Chohan of the Fourth Ray, worked with the pentatonic scale. Pythagoras is called the Father of Music. So, we link with Serapis Bey/Pythagoras as we watch and hear Bobby McFerrin do his magical music demonstration.
