Put Your Hand in the Hand

Friends, fellow hand-in-hand walkers of the Way,

Here’s our song for today: Put Your Hand in the Hand sung by Anne Murray in 1999. This song was written by Gene MacLellan and first recorded by Anne Murray in 1970. Since then, multiple singers/groups have recorded their versions of this very popular song.

Of course, this song honors Sananda/Jesus the Christ. But you could just as well substitute the Buddha for Jesus in the lyrics: “Put your hand in the hand of the man who was awakened, Put your hand in the hand of the man who was enlightened. . . . Put your hand in the hand of the man from India.” Or you could make up lyrics for Moses: “Put your hand in the hand of the man who climbed the mountain . . .” etc. (Sananda’s incarnations include Melchizedek, Moses, Elijah, Buddha, Socrates and Jesus — hence his hands reach around the whole world.)

Here’s a second version of this song by the group Ocean, which I like because of the video segments that show scenes from Jesus’ life. The images/pictures nicely compliment the words of the song.

  1. Dear Robert
YES I LOVE this song especially with the pics of Jesus.
45 years ago I arrived at Bernard Jensen’s Health Ranch in Escondido and I had this wonderful Mystical experience of Jesus reaching out his hand to me and inviting me to follow him as I heard him say “Follow me, I am the Light, the Truth and the Way.
You may remember my copy of an oil painting by Harrison Hendrick that was hanging on my Clinic wall. Bernard had the original hanging in his library and as I was so enchanted by it he gave me a copy of it which has followed me around in all my clinics ever since.
Thanks again for all the DJ Doc K songs ……..Loving them X
