Here’s a rock-and-roll classic from Elvis: Blue Suede Shoes, recorded in 1956. I was ten years old at the time, and I remember it like it was yesterday.
A year or so later, with my paper route money, I even bought a pair of blue suede shoes; and to my mother’s dismay, I started combing my hair somewhat like his — I thought I was one cool dude.
But, alas, I could never even begin to sing or dance like he did. Ha!
