You’ve Got a Friend

Here’s the early recording in 1971 by the young James Taylor singing the Carole King song, You’ve Got a Friend.

We can sing this to anyone, including to Vladimir Putin, who seems to have no true friends in the world, given his isolation, self-promotion and self-power. But we potentially can be his friend, if he will but allow us to do so. He can become the transmuted “Vladimir,” which name means peaceful ruler.

  1. A song for the ages. What a day it will be when we all say this to each other!
