Here’s our incredible saxophone song for today by 21-year old Avery Dixson, one of the best saxophone solos I ever have heard. (I played tenor sax in high school but was not 1/1000th as good as this young man. But I always have had a tender spot in my heart for saxophone players.)
Terry Crews, one of my favorites on America’s Got Talent, gave him Avery his emotional Golden Buzzer, which was particularly moving because Avery was bullied throughout elementary, junior high and high school, as he shares before playing his sax. (Terry Crews’ book Tough is excellent). The human spirit is amazing, the ability to overcome tough times and to rise to the heights of a new day and way. God bless you, Avery!
